Welcome to Lincoln Bishop Business School, a growing and ambitious community focused on developing the business leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals of the future.

Business is constantly changing, and so are the opportunities available to those who understand how to respond to that change. Whether your interests are in management, marketing, accounting, finance, digital business, AI, cyber security, entrepreneurship or the world of football business, our aim is to give you the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to succeed in a changing world.

We believe that studying business should be about more than learning theories from a textbook. It should be about understanding how those ideas work within the industries you choose to work in. That is why our programmes are designed around practical application, live business challenges and strong connections with employers and organisations. We want our students to leave us not only with a degree, but with the experience, confidence and professional mindset to make a difference from day one.

We are also building a Business School that is closely connected to the businesses and communities around us. Through our partnerships, applied research, consultancy and opportunities to work with organisations, we want our students to be part of the business community while they study, rather than simply prepare to enter it when they graduate.

LORIC — Lincoln Open Research and Innovation Centre

The Lincoln Open Research and Innovation Centre (LORIC) is Lincoln Bishop Business School's applied research, consultancy and innovation centre. Whilst based within the Business School, it draws together expertise from across the University, so that multidisciplinary collaboration can add value for employers, public services and communities.

LORIC is the principal mechanism through which the Business School connects its academic expertise to the economic, social and innovation priorities of Lincolnshire and beyond, delivering applied and academic research that supports the regional knowledge economy, business growth, public service delivery, and a growing pipeline of impact, publications, funding and partnerships. We support businesses by providing them with intelligence, insights, innovation, tailored research and training needs.

The centre responds directly to the priorities identified in the Greater Lincolnshire Local Skills Improvement Plan, including productivity, data and digital adoption, workforce development, leadership, sustainability, health and care innovation, and regional skills intelligence.

Since its establishment, LORIC has grown into a recognised centre of excellence, with a visible regional profile, and a strong contribution to the Business School's teaching, enterprise and civic missions. It is the University's flagship centre for business and organisational research, innovation and knowledge exchange and a trusted partner to business, public sector and community organisations.
