About this course
This Top Up provides you with the opportunity to initiate, plan and produce a unique and independent piece of work that showcases and further builds on the knowledge, skills and mindset developed throughout the programme to date.
You are encouraged to self-select a format for your project that best suits your career ambitions and overarching goals for your MBA. You may opt to complete a business dissertation, applied corporate project, or produce a business plan.
A series of workshops will support the production of the final project. These workshops will focus on developing the research and analytical skills required to produce the final project. In addition, you will be supported by a designated project supervisor. Overall, the intent of the module is to equip you with the knowledge and understanding necessary to conceive, plan, implement and evaluate strategic management/ research projects.
An active approach to learning and personal development including the opportunity to share this learning journey with a peer group will prevail.
Scheduled Teaching Hours
There are 30 scheduled teaching hours on the Master of Business Administration (Strategic Leadership) Top Up.
Entry requirements
Applicants must hold one of the following:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Leadership & Management
- Senior Leader Apprenticeship (Level 7)
- CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice

How you will be taught
There is no one-size-fits-all method of teaching at Lincoln Bishop – we shape our methods to suit each subject and each group, combining the best aspects of traditional university teaching with innovative techniques to promote student participation and interactivity.
You will be taught in a variety of ways, from lectures, tutorials and seminars, to practical workshops, coursework and work-based placements. Small group seminars and workshops will provide you with an opportunity to review issues raised in lectures, and you will be expected to carry out independent study.
Placements are a key part of degree study within many courses at Lincoln Bishop. They provide an enriching learning experience for you to apply the skills and knowledge you will gain from your course and, in doing so, give valuable real-world experience to boost your career.

Assessment
Assessment consists of one 12,000-word Strategic Management Project, weighted at 100% coursework.
