Guaranteed accommodation for Sept 26 when you apply before 30th June - secure your place with the UK’s No.1 University Halls (WUSCA 2025)

On Wednesday 21st May, we were crowned the winning university of Halls and Student Accommodation in the UK, at the WhatUni Student Choice Awards (WUSCA).

This prestigious award highlights the outstanding quality of our accommodation and the caring nature of our university. With our well-established reputation for excellence in student support, we are delighted to be recognised through this award for the sector-leading accommodation we provide to students who move to the city of Lincoln for their studies.

Based entirely on the views of undergraduate and postgraduate students across the UK, the WhatUni Student Choice Awards are an important indicator of success as a university.

Professor Andrew Gower, Vice Chancellor of Bishop Grosseteste University, said: “We’re incredibly proud to receive this award, and it is all the more impactful to know that it was voted for by our students.

“Receiving this WhatUni Student Choice Award is testament to the professionalism and commitment of the staff team in providing a high-quality experience for our students. The award comes at an exciting time for the institution, as we embark on a new chapter from September as Lincoln Bishop University. We look forward to welcoming a growing number of students to our award-winning accommodation.”

Actor and Presenter, Alexander Armstrong, hosted this year’s award ceremony, where BGU beat all other UK universities to take top prize in the Halls and Student Accommodation category.

Alongside this award, we were crowned the winner of both - Lecturers and Teaching Quality in the East Midlands and Student Support in the East Midlands. We also took home the award of 3rd place for Career Prospects in the East Midlands, and we are thrilled to announce that we’re in the Top 25 for the WUSCA award of University of the Year!
