✨ Your future. Your place. Your story. Come and see what makes us different at one of our Open Days, picture your future at the UK’s No.1 university for student satisfaction. 🎓

Lincoln Bishop University has been ranked Top 10 in the UK for Teaching Quality, alongside other rankings, in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2027.

The University is proud to have also ranked in the Top 25 for Student Experience, Top 20 for Social Inclusion and Top 10 for Low Participation Areas across UK universities.

The Low Participation Areas category classifies local areas into five groups based on the proportion of 18-year-olds who enter higher education, whilst Social Inclusion provides an insight into the composition of the student body and the fairness of the university admissions process.

Professor Andrew Gower, Vice Chancellor and CEO of Lincoln Bishop University said: “We are delighted that The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2027 has recognised Lincoln Bishop University’s strengths in teaching quality, student experience, social inclusion and support for students from low-participation areas. These results are a powerful endorsement of the ambitions at the heart of Strategy 2030: that people flourish when united by social purpose, and that every student should have access to a highly personalised, engaging and transformative university experience.

“Our top ten ranking for Teaching Quality reflects the expertise and commitment of our staff, while our performance for inclusion and widening participation shows that we are turning our values into meaningful opportunity.

“We are proud of our community and thankful to our students, colleagues and partners for their contribution. These results strengthen our determination to create inspiring opportunities and transformative experiences, deepen our impact across Greater Lincolnshire and beyond, and continue building a university where everyone can realise their potential.”

Gemma Gazi, Widening Participation Officer at Lincoln Bishop University, works with local schools to help students develop study skills, explore future pathways and experience university life first hand. The programmes help students to build confidence, gain valuable insights, and start thinking about their academic and career goals.

Gemma said: “It is fantastic news that Lincoln Bishop University has been recognised for our ongoing commitment to Widening Participation and Social Inclusion. Supporting students from all backgrounds to fulfil their potential is embedded within our culture at the university. At Lincoln Bishop, we believe that every student should have the opportunity to explore Higher Education and feel confident in making choices about their future.

“We are proud to play our part in helping to break down barriers to Higher Education and ensuring that more students have the opportunity to fulfil their potential.”

Thanks also to LiNCHigher, based at Lincoln Bishop University, for their support, partnership and contribution to Lincoln Bishop's widening participation ranking.

The rankings are based on a variety of factors including the latest available data from the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) for entry standards, first-class and 2:1 degrees, and continuation rates.

Results from the National Student Survey (NSS) 2026 are also taken into account – in which Lincoln Bishop University was ranked 5th in the UK.

The NSS provides students with the opportunity to submit feedback on their university experience. Undergraduates in their final year of study are invited to answer questions on everything from their teaching and facilities to learning opportunities, resources and support.
