The new accommodation is ready to welcome students in September 2024

Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU) has officially opened its new Student Village, adding 293 luxury en-suite rooms to its student accommodation portfolio.

The grand opening took place on Friday 23rd August, at the Riseholme Road site, just over the road from the University's campus.

The Student Village offers modern amenities to a high standard, including communal green spaces, a cinema room and 24/7 reception, designed to enhance student life.

The University's Chancellor Dr. Tracy Borman was at the launch to officially open the site. She said: "We are thrilled to open the Student Village, which will significantly enhance the university experience by fostering a vibrant and supportive community close to our campus.

"This development is a key part of BGU’s broader growth plan, complementing our existing on-campus accommodation. It's wonderful to see it all come together, ready to welcome our students to their new homes very soon."
