Leading the way: No.1 in the UK for Teaching, Assessment & Learning Opportunities (National Student Survey 2025)

We have been ranked 3rd for Teaching Quality, alongside other rankings, in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026

We are proud to have also ranked in the Top 10 for Student Experience, 5th for Social Inclusion and in the Top 20 for First Generation Students across UK universities.

Social Inclusion provides an insight into the composition of the student body and the fairness of the university admissions process whilst the First Generation Students category refers to the proportion of students drawn from households where their parents did not attend university.

Professor Andrew Gower, Vice Chancellor and CEO of Lincoln Bishop University said: “With huge thanks for the expertise and dedication of staff, we take this opportunity to celebrate the quality of the experience we provide for our students.

“The Times Rankings is a league table of the best universities in the UK and, as an inclusive university committed to widening participation with outstanding outcomes for our students, we are delighted to see the impact of this commitment as one of the top universities for social inclusion.  What an excellent way to mark our new chapter as Lincoln Bishop University.”

Gemma Gazi, Widening Participation Officer at Lincoln Bishop University, works with local schools to help students develop study skills, explore future pathways and experience university life first hand. The programmes help students to build confidence, gain valuable insights, and start thinking about their academic and career goals.

She said: “We are thrilled to share our rankings in the Times’ Good University Guide. Lincoln Bishop University is committed to ensure that all students, regardless of their background or personal circumstances, have the opportunity to access and succeed in higher education and it is wonderful to see that this support is being recognised.”

The rankings are based on a variety of factors including the latest available data from the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) for entry standards, first-class and 2:1 degrees, and continuation rates.

Results from the National Student Survey (NSS) 2025 are also taken into account – in which Lincoln Bishop University ranked 1st in three categories.

The NSS provides students with the opportunity to submit feedback on their university experience. Undergraduates in their final year of study are invited to answer questions on everything from their teaching and facilities to learning opportunities, resources and support.
