Children’s Literature and Literacies
The MA in Children's Literature and Literacies gives you an opportunity to deepen your passion for literature written for children through research-led modules that engage with emerging frameworks and debates. Supported by a team of academic specialists, you will investigate theories of literacy development, and the learning and reading experiences of children and young people through interdisciplinary, inclusive, and current approaches. You will critically explore ‘classic’ texts and contemporary publications across a range of genres, ranging from poetry, picture books and non-fiction to graphic novels and digital applications, aimed at readers from 0-18. You will examine the nature of literacy and literature in a digital age, their current existence and future directions. This MA will foster your academic capabilities and individual interests through conceptual and empirical research. -

Counselling Practitioner
This programme is aimed at students who wish to become Counselling practitioners. The degree adopts a humanistic approach to counselling practice with an emphasis on embedding knowledge of integrating elements of the major theoretical approaches and counselling methodologies.Students develop theoretical knowledge, counselling skills and experience, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, research skills and critical awareness. Students will be introduced to the relevance and practical application of knowledge and counselling skills through practical learning, placement and research opportunities. -

Early Childhood Studies with Foundation Year
The BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies is a three-year undergraduate programme which introduces students to aspects of education, health and social care, with a specific focus on children from 0 – 8 years of age.The course offers graduates a range of employability opportunities with module content supporting students in developing a wide range of transferable skills, as well as providing a curriculum which enables students to develop their academic skills.Students who graduate from the programme will be awarded a full and relevant degree enhancing employability by enabling them to seek roles in early childhood settings as part of the adult: child ratio. Furthermore, students may also choose to work towards an award which embeds graduate practitioner competencies into their study. -

EdD (Doctorate of Education)
The Doctorate of Education (EdD) is the premier academic qualification for experienced professionals working in the education sector. The EdD is ideally suited to those who benefit from studying in a structured, collegiate environment with the first two years comprising taught modules. These modules enable the development of research skills and the intellectual rigour demanded of professionals at doctoral level. They also provide the foundation for the subsequent period of study, the thesis stage, during which a thesis is written focused on an area of professional interest. Lincoln Bishop's continuing success in research, as demonstrated in the 2021 Research Excellence Framework exercise, gives us a significant presence within an increasingly competitive, research-intensive sector. Lincoln Bishop offers a single entry system every Autumn, in October. -

Through studying a Psychology degree at Lincoln Bishop you’ll gain an in-depth understanding of the scientific nature of the subject and of its wider cultural and social impact.
