Earlier this month, BGU hosted students and teachers from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS), as part of a UK-Netherlands Education Exchange.
The event brought together academics, students, and local educators to share insights and experiences across borders, enabling Dutch MA students and their teachers to immerse themselves in English university life.
Part of the trip involved visiting local schools, further contributing to the students’ opportunity to gain a valuable international perspective.
A highlight of the exchange was the UKNL Exchange Conference, which featured workshops on innovative curriculum design, creating dynamic school days, equal opportunities, drivers of educational behaviour, and "out of the box" thinking.
The conference culminated in a thought-provoking panel debate where representatives from both universities discussed key challenges facing education today.
Participants, including MA students, local head teachers, BGU lecturers and students, and Dutch visitors, shared their practices and insights, all enriching the dialogue.
Philip Yeung, Head of Online Learning at BGU, shared his reflections on the event: “The exchange concluded with unanimous agreement on two key points: The immense value of mutual learning and eager anticipation for next year's exchange.
“This collaborative effort between BGU and AUAS demonstrates the growing importance of international partnerships in shaping the future of education.”
