If you have the commitment, courage and patience then this Initial Teacher Education (ITE) course offers you the knowledge and skills to help others develop their understanding, confidence or independence, enabling you to transform lives.It provides a route into teaching in the training and skills sector for graduates, and leads to a robust teaching qualification, which is recognised in the sector. The programme develops participants’ knowledge and understanding of the theory and practice of teaching, learning and assessment, and teachers’ wider, professional engagement in the sector. The programme offers a challenging, supportive and rewarding experience to promote informed, reflective and effective teaching and professional development. Through a combination of traditional study and work-based learning, you’ll be able to explore the key theories and techniques of teaching, learning and assessment for all learners, focusing especially on SEND. You'll develop systematic understanding of knowledge related to SEND theory and practice, promoting competence and confidence in reflective practice, decision making in complex situations, and conducting independent research. The programme encourages sharing of experience and encourages reflection and contributions. With a strong focus upon creating change, challenging your thinking and understandings. Whether you are currently in a professional setting or preparing for future roles across various contexts including education, social care, and health, the programme supports both practical application and the development of insights that can inform and shape your future practice
