Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (Teaching Post-16 and Further Education)
The Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (Teaching Post-16 and Further Education) offers education, training and development to graduates who are practising or aspiring teachers who wish to teach courses such as BTECs/ CTECs, A Levels and Access to HE in further education colleges, Sixth form colleges, private sector training providers, and offender education. It provides a route into teaching in the training and skills sector for graduates, and leads to a robust teaching qualification, which is recognised in the sector. The programme develops participants’ knowledge and understanding of the theory and practice of teaching, learning and assessment, and teachers’ wider, professional engagement in the sector.The programme offers a challenging, supportive and rewarding experience to promote informed, reflective and effective teaching and professional development.Please note: This course is also available for study at Franklin Sixth Form College in Grimsby, with our Flying Faculty. Primary Teaching Studies with QTS
Are you a teaching assistant currently working in a primary school, or working in an equivalent educational setting? If you’ve recently completed a relevant Foundation Degree and are looking to pursue a career in primary teaching, then this course could be the perfect next step for you. The course is a stimulating and challenging degree at honours level, developing the qualities required in 21st century teachers. This course will be delivered via blended learning where students will be taught remotely for the equivalent of 1 day per week. Roughly one day each half term, students will attend campus for sessions, and the remainder of the taught content will be delivered through a mix of synchronous and asynchronous sessions to allow students flexibility. Some placements may take place in the school in which students are working as a TA. -
