This online conference brings together key highlights from the landmark event hosted at the University in December 2025, sharing the learning with the wider education community across Greater Lincolnshire and beyond. The in-person event welcomed more than 150 senior leaders, careers leaders and business representatives for a day of collaboration and practical learning.

The event focused on supporting schools to:

  • articulate their value to employers
  • embed employer engagement within careers strategies
  • develop meaningful work experience opportunities
  • build strong networks with local businesses and education leaders

Keynote speakers and panel contributors included Wil Payne (Newland Partners), John Yarham (The Careers & Enterprise Company), Dan Lamoon (Co.lab Creation), Katrina Pierce (Federation of Small Businesses), Steve Penney (St Peter and St Paul Catholic Voluntary Academy) and Mark Jarvis (mark-jarvis.co.uk).

One attendee commented: “It was a fantastic event to connect schools with the business community, with the aim of providing better career opportunities for future generations.”

With the launch of this new online conference session, education professionals will be able to benefit from the insights, discussions and practical perspectives shared on the day.

Dr Philip Yeung, Deputy Dean and Head of the School of Lifelong Learning, said: “It was fantastic to welcome so many school and business leaders onto our campus for From Classroom to Boardroom. The energy in the room showed just how much we can achieve when education and enterprise come together with a shared purpose. I’m delighted that we can now share the highlights more widely through our online conference series, helping even more colleagues across Greater Lincolnshire and beyond join the conversation.”

Lincoln Bishop University would like to thank all those involved in making the event and online conference possible, with special thanks to The Careers & Enterprise Company and Newland Partners, alongside all speakers and contributors.
