Last month, the History department at Bishop Grosseteste University, was delighted to award Adam Jacklin the inaugural BGU prize for best non-exam assessment (NEA) in History.

The award evening took place at The King's School Grantham, supported by the BGU History team, with the award presented to Adam by British para-sport athlete Jonathan Broom-Edwards, on the 13th October 2022.

Twice a year, the BGU History and Military History department welcome A-Level students from interested schools and colleges, to BGU, for a 'History NEA Day'. The day consists of a series of focused workshops designed to assist them with the research, planning, and writing stages of their projects. It also gives students a chance to meet the History team, and visit our beautiful campus.

Thank you to Head of History Emma McKenna for facilitating our first awards event at The King's School, and congratulations again to Adam.

Teachers who are interested in participating in our 'History NEA Day' workshops can contact Programme Leader W. Jack Rhoden either via email or Twitter.
