This module will focus on practice issues in health and social care, ensuring students develop an understanding of important concepts such as multi-agency working and critical reflective practice.
The concept of assessments within health and social practice will be introduced. Awareness of personal, professional and ethical values are further explored within health and social care practice.
The first placement takes place during this module, and will enable students to experience health and social care practice, linking theory to practice. This will enable students to share their experience and knowledge with their peers.

Admissions Process
If you are applying for individual or bundled modules through the Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE), we will consider your application based on the level of study and the requirements of the module or modules you want to take.
You will need to show that you have the right knowledge, skills and preparation to study successfully at the level you are applying for. This could include previous qualifications, professional development, work experience or other relevant learning. If you have completed relevant prior learning at another institution, we may also be able to take this into account through our Recognition of Prior Learning process.
If you do not have the usual entry qualifications, we may still be able to consider your application. Please speak to our enquiries team for more information.
You do not need previous employment in health and social care to apply for Level 4 modules. You will need to show that you are ready to study at this level and meet any placement or safeguarding requirements linked to your chosen module. Some modules with placement activity may also help you build early sector experience and support your next steps into employment or further study.
