From the Black Death to pirates in the Caribbean, from French revolutionaries to civil rights campaigners, from witch trials to Cold War tensions, you will learn how people in the past lived, understand their world, their beliefs, motivations and actions, and ultimately learn how the world came to be the way it is.The lecturers on this course will draw on their own research and teaching experience to bring history alive for you in classrooms and on field trips.
