Our on-line accommodation applications will open in February.
Most places in halls are offered to first year UK/EU undergraduate students who have firmly accepted an academic offer and submitted an accommodation application by 30th June 2026.
Demand for halls outstrips supply and as there are not enough places to accommodate all those, who wish to go into halls, we apply an Accommodation Policy. Within the allocation prioritisation, there are certain provision’s that apply:
All places in halls are allocated on a first come first served basis and students are therefore encouraged to return the accommodation application form as soon as possible.
Priority will be given to students joining us from outside the local area.
Applications received by 30th June 2026 will be guaranteed accommodation, but this will not necessarily be on campus. An alternative offer may be made for private accommodation where the terms and conditions will differ to that originally applied.
Room offers will be sent by email on or around A-Level results day which is Thursday 13th August 2026
Applications received after 30th June 2026 will not be guaranteed accommodation and further advice will be given by the Accommodation Officer on receipt of application. Applicants who make Lincoln Bishop University their insurance choice with UCAS are encouraged to submit application for accommodation. This will be held on record, until confirmation is received that you will be attending the University.
Resident students living on campus, the Student Village or within a one-mile radius of The University will not be permitted to park a vehicle on campus.
Students who are to reside on campus will be required to sign contracts which will prevent them from utilising private vehicles whilst living on site. These students will be prohibited from parking cars on campus or on the roadside in the neighbouring areas, unless approval has been granted by the University for access needs or mobility reasons. Lincoln Bishop University will act against students found to be in breach of this agreement.
Students will require a TV licence if they are bringing their own television or TV enabled laptop, together with a digital aerial for residents living in Constance Stewart Hall.
All electrical equipment - unless brand new and accompanied by a receipt - must be tested before it may be used on campus. The University organises this and is included as part of your accommodation fees.
No pets are allowed on campus
You may have a guest stay over, but not for more than 2 nights in any week. This must be booked through the Accommodation & Estates Office.
Rooms are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Students are asked to bring their own bedding and linen.
Students can stay in University Accommodation for the duration of their studies if they wish
We are able to offer bedrooms with wheelchair access and the use of accessible bathroom facilities.
Note: Students with a disability requiring campus accommodation are encouraged to contact the University as early as possible to discuss their requirements, as there are a limited number of rooms that are fully accessible. The University aims to provide accommodation to disabled students throughout their studies, wherever it is reasonable to do so, in the light of the limited number of rooms.
Lincoln has a low crime rate compared to most cities. All of our security staff and Resident Wardens are qualified First Aiders. The Halls all comply with current safety standards and the fire alarms are tested on a weekly basis throughout the year. All electrical equipment, unless brand new and accompanied by a receipt, must be tested before it may be used on campus. The University will organise this shortly after your arrival in halls.
Each year the University invites applications from second, third and fourth year students who wish to contribute to the co-ordination of student support within University residential accommodation and to help to create and sustain a secure and friendly environment for residents. These 'Resident Wardens' serve as first point of contact for the residences for which they are responsible. They liaise with the Accommodation Office, Senior Resident Warden, Security and relevant University Departments. All Resident Wardens are expected to have a sense of community and responsibility, a firm integrity, a willingness to demonstrate commitment to the students and to possess and use the attributes of tolerance and humour - which will be needed on a regular basis!
