Power, Pride and Resistance brings together poetry created at a Lincoln Bishop University Black History Month workshop in 2025. These poems explore identity, belonging, voice, solidarity and the ways people understand power and resistance.
Lincoln Bishop University Lecturer Lori Hall and artist Tinashe Chipawe co-facilitated the workshop.
Participants explored power, pride and resistance through images, discussion and creative writing. The poems retain their authors’ chosen words and forms; some contributors have revised their original workshop drafts for this collection.
